First Aid, CPR and AED

I currently hold a valid UK First Aid Cert that includes CPR training. I am looking to begin teaching in the States, but need a CPR training. Can I use my UK cert to apply for US certification?

Is your cert through the Red Cross, Heart Association, or some other group?

according to www.cprtoday.com the cost is 24.95 and is accepted by all 50states and osha, you also can do this on line on their website., cnn also endorses this site,,.

I was told that it was mandatory for me to have my First Aid/CPR certification in order to keep my hours with my job. My job will pay the fee of the class but will not pay me for my time (about 4-5 hours) attending the CPR/First Aid class.

I agree with your poster, Designer. If it's a provision of your employment then it's perfectly legal. If it isn't in your job description and it IS in a higher position description you may be able to lobby for a raise or a promotion. In any case,
