I heard you can get sued if you help someone and you are not certified.
Like if you learned it 30 years ago and you see someone choking and you help them and afterward they are like I don't want your help and your not certified then they sue.

I am thinking about getting into child care, and i know i should be first aid and cpr certified... how do i go about doing that? and how expensive is it?

Try checking with your local health department or hospital. Tell them you are interested in acquiring certification for CPR and first aid and ask them when they hold classes, as well as all of the information needed to enroll in such.
