I received my CPR/First Aid training last year. How long is it good/current for?

It is for teaching. Oh...and I can't find my card.

How long it's good for depends on the agency issuing the card, as well as when/where you took it.

American Heart Association and American Safety and Health Institute (AHA and ASHI) cards are good for 2 years, as a general rule.

Cheapest is not always best. The red cross is pretty competitive in their prices.

First AID/ CPR Training?

i took a cpr/first aid class a while back and i remember them sayng that if a victim asks for water in an emergency situation, you are not allowed to give it to them. Does anyone know why?

Because you really don't know what is going on inside of the person. It also depends on what type of emergency. Water in some situations can be bad like if the person ingested some type of poison that has a reaction to water. A person could pass...

Super confused about First Aid and CPR Training...?

Hey, first of all, thanks for checking out my question.

OK, so I work at this place where one of the job requirements are to have Emergency First aid and CPR level C. I have no training in any of these areas, but they hired me knowing

If you have a 'higher' level of first aid or CPR, you do not need to certify at a lower level. So if you have Standard First Aid, you have outranked the Emergency First Aid qualification (which is good).
