Army Survival Guide

Has anyone bought this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/US-Army-Survival -Manual-Illustrated/dp/9562914488/ref=sr _1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1210018 493&sr=1-1) guide? Is it good? I downloaded a 1992 version but it's 646 pages long, that one is only 288, does it have all the information?

1- Organize before they rise from the grave (or be "born again", as "they" call it)

2- They feel no fear, why should you?

3- Use your head: cut off theirs! (Now, that's good advice)

I am looking for a book similar to the US Army's Survival Manual. However, the Army's survival guide does not have a section on urban survival. I live in a major city and want to get information on where to get water, food and shelter in the event I run out of supplies in a war, financial collapse, governmental take-over or natural disaster. I like the book "Steal This Book," but the information in it is very outdated from the 1970s. Anyone know of some comparable books? Thanks.

A better idea would be for you to take some classes in first aid and volunteer to participate in disaster relief drills. If you look around you can find many opportunities to prepare yourself to make a difference after a disaster.

I am getting married to my boyfriend of 5 years on Oct. 24th after he comes back from Iraq. I was wondering if there is any good advice or any books I could read to see what I am in for. I am really looking for basically a survival guide something to help me make it through an army marriage.

Well I know a few people that are dealing with that issue right now. And it is a tough one, it takes two very strong people! I know they have a show out called army wives, you could probably get some really good advice from there. As for books, I love a man in uniform: A memoir of love, war, and other battles, its really good.

I have always loved the Chicken Noddle Soup series and they have one for Military wifes!
