College Survival Kits

Ok, so I'm making college survival kits for 3 of my closest senior friends. I have a budget of about $75 (excluding buying the baskets to put the gifts in), so that's $25 each. This is what I have so far:
-Playing cards ($3 each)
-Stress balls ($2 each)
-(2) 5-hour energy shots ($4 per person)
-(2) easy mac ($2 per person)

Please list the prices of the items

You could use big plastic bowls (from Walmart/Target/the dollar store) as your "baskets" and then they could use them for popcorn at college. You should definitely include some microwave popcorn and maybe some microwaveable ramen noodle cups or soup. You could add a coffee mug ($1 at a dollar store) and some tea or coffee bags if you think they'd use them. Sugarless gum or breath mints are also useful to keep you awake during boring classes. You could also include a small photo album ($1 at Michael's craft stores) or a picture frame with a photo of the four of you (if you're all friends).

I'm in a newspaper class, and as managing editor I have to pull the classes money together to buy the main editors (6 OF THEM!) gifts. I'm thinking the cheapest thing would be college survival kits. What kind of stuff should I put in there. I have $60 to spend on all of them so it should be stuff I can get at Big Lots or Walmart. The more things you can think of the better (10 Points!!!)

Keep in mind they are for girls

My daughter went off to college 8 months after I left her dad. The first months on my own I found that I needed a hammer, screwdriver, a variety of nails, and tacks, etc. So for my daughter I bought her a small tool chest and filled it with the basics. Believe me all of the other stuff listed by other folks is wonderful and needed but this little tool box came in especially handy. I also added a small medical area with bandaids, cold tabs, aspirin etc. Little things that are always in the medicine chest but they don't miss until they don't have them. Good luck sending your daughter off to college. I hope my suggestions help a bit.

I am making my boyfriend a college survival kit for graduation. I already have all of the basic school stuff (i.e. laptop backpack, paper, pens, ect...) but i need some more stuff. If anyone has any good ideas please let me know. I just need something that you would want for college that you wouldn't think of on your first trip to wal-mart. Thanks.
sorry everyone, I forgot to mention that he's living at home, so he doens't need all the personal care stuff.

My cousin just graduated and he will be going away to college in the fall. I already bought condoms and Chaser (so no hangovers!). What else should I get?

shower flipflops, a small white board and pens to hang on wall, easy snack foods (ramen, popcorn, granola bars, etc) ear plugs or head phones, a shower caddy, laundry bag, and a couple of rolls of quarters!
