Me and my friend want to create a joke freshman's survival guide for high school?

My friend and i are seniors in high school and we love to prank freshman. We decided to create a "freshman survival guide: but we've run out of rule ideas.
Some of our rules are:
NEVER look a senior in the eyes.
dont speak unless spoken to.
Just when your feeling safe is when your in the most danger.
and other stupid stuff like that. We plan to print it our and tape it around the school so no over the top stuff just funny little pranks plz.

Awesome! I'm not gonna lie, pranking the frosh is possibly my favorite part of senior year. (Class of '10 FTW!!)
Um... how about....
Your name is now 'frosh'. Do not answer to anything else.
Whenever you talk to a senior, you must address him/her as 'almighty senior'.
If you step on a crack, you'll get a detention.
You need to notify a senior every time you use the elevator or use the stairs. You also must pay a fine.
If you're late to class, you must lie down and beg forgiveness from your teacher.
Okay, those aren't that great, I'll come back if I think of anymore!

What do freshman need to know as they enter high school?{im writing a survival guide}?

In an after school program i was in last year we helped freshman out with their studies and they problems. This year at freshman orientation we will be doing a lot of fun stuff. One of my jobs is to write a survial guide. What do you think freshmen need to know to survive? lol. Or what did YOU need to know when u started high school?
nd yea i spelled freshmen wrong in the title lol. =]
yea thats true. anybody else?
lmao! all upperclassmen can lol!

I was a freshman last year and all you need to know is the seniors dont really care about the freshmen. They dont beat you up and anything like that. Just dont be immature(guys) and dont try to act cool to fit in, be yourself, and dont be a teachers pet its annoying. Also when you get to highschool its time to grow up (guys especially!) dont act like a annoying little kid and freshmen year is easy there is no reason to fail. Just keep up with your work and try to pay attention, dont put is off. Most high schools get out early enough so that you have time to do homework and hang out with friends so just get it out of the way. I admit i put it off alot but the work isnt hard and im not a geek or anything, i your average teen getting A and Bs and high Cs.

I want to make like a Survival Guide for teens, but I don't know what it should be about.?

For my 10th grade project I decided to create a Survival guide for teens. The only problem is I don't know what the Survival Guide should be based on. Like "How to survive high school" or freshmen year...or whatever i just need a topic and idea and I'm good. Thanks a lot!

high school
you can write about surviving:
friend problems
school stress
depression and how to get over it whether it be you or a friend

What is some advice you would give a freshman college student?

What is something you wished you knew before you started college? If you were writing a survival guide for college students what would be some of the things you would include? Advice you would give? Recommendations you would give them.

I am just finishing my fifth and final year. It has been a wild ride. I've had a lot of fun while receiving good grades. Here is my advice:

1. Learn the system. You will be responsible for everything that happens. Quickly try to learn the ins and outs of the university. Ask for help if you need it.

2. Get a planner and use it for everything. This will help you stay focused.

3. Meet new people. If you live in the dorms open your door and make friends. Do not feel you have to always be there for your friends either. For this reason do not join a frat or sorority. Look out for your self first. Do what you want to do.

4. Go to parties but be sure to get your school work done.

5. Go to class. When you skip you miss the administrative information that the professor gives. You don't always have to be there mentally just physically.

6. Schedule classes for later in the day. Monday - Thursday. That way you can sleep in without the guilt of missing classes.

7. Have one overall goal. Such as...I want to graduate in four years with this degree.

8. Remember college is not all about academics. Have fun play intramural, join clubs, explore things. It's all about balance.

9. DO NOT go home for at least the first month. The first few weeks of school are vital for making friends and starting class right.

10. Become self motivated. Do not go to college because it is what society expects from you, go because you want to be there.

Final Note...If you can afford it do not work during the school year. Work could interfere with everything. Take out student loans and work during the summer. Or try taking summer classes and graduating sooner.

Book: why is it so expensive?

ok, so i was looking at the book on amazon and borders; the book: High School 101: Freshman Survival Guide, and on those websites, this book is like $300!!!!! Why is thatt??? Cuz i want tht book!!!

additional note:
It's so expensive because I think it is out of print. Not that many libraries have it. However, you could talk with your local library and see if they can get it for you through interlibrary loan (usually you have to pay shipping for this, but it might work) http://www.worldcat.org/oclc/62131074&am p;referer=brief_results

  • Busted Halo Freshman Survival Guide 2009 - Busted Halo

It’s official. Busted Halo’s Freshman Survival Guide is five years old and to mark this anniversary we want to thank you, and announce some great news. Thanks to our enthusiastic readers, our Guide has been read by tens of thousands of people online (and many thousands more — college orientation staffs, counseling services and campus ministries — have downloaded and handed out our one-sheet PDF .) Over this past winter, this success caught the attention of a few of the largest commercial publishers and a bidding war ensued for the right to publish the Freshman Survival Guide (FSG) as a book. We won’t bore you with the grimy details, but suffice it to say, the first official Busted Halo Freshman Survival Guide book will be published by the Center Street imprint of Hachette Book Group USA, to be available in stores in April, 2010!
