Of these 6 people in a life raft, who would you kick out and why?

You're in a life raft in the middle of the ocean. You need to throw one person overboard to their certain death in order for the other 5 to be guaranteed survival. If all 6 stay in the raft, everybody dies.

In the life raft are:
you
the president
a kidnapper
a middle-aged doctor
a 100-year-old lady
a 3-month-old baby

Who would you pick to get thrown out and why?

There is no greater sacrifice than self sacrifice, it is said...but being older myself, the 100 year old lady would probably be happy to be thrown over-board and get it over with. But, if I had to make that decision, I would want to draw straws. If I couldn't draw straws, I'd have to chose the poor old girl - she's going soon anyway. If she cried and pleaded...then, the kidnapper. If the kidnapper pleaded and swore to change, then the baby...if the baby cried and sounded pitiful, then the doctor...if the doctor pleaded and said the others would need him for medical treatment to survive...then me. It's always going to be me in the end anyway! lol!

What a question! lol!

IF you AND your FAMILY were ON a SHIP that was going DOWN and there was only ONE place on the LIFE RAFT?

how would you choose..... which child? or which adult ?..... would you all go down together and let no one go ?

its rough waters.... chances of survival without the rafts seem slim.....

I couldn't do it... we'd take our chances together... think of what the survivor would have to live with??

Senator Seal is the strongest champion of wildlife in Congress
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The exhausted and weary sailor told an incredible, hard-to-believe tale of survival on a life raft in his hospital room.

thnks

In Congress, Senator Seal is the strongest champion of wildlife.

In his hospital room, the weary sailor told an incredible tale of survival on a life raft.

In sentence 2, 'exhausted' and 'weary' mean the same. Also, 'incredible' and 'hard-to-believe' also mean then same. In both cases only one word is required.

Who can solve this riddle?

There's 15 passengers on a boat that will sink in exactly 20 minutes. They're only hope of survival is taking a life raft that can hold only 5 people to a nearby island. Swimming is impossible as there are man-eating sharks in the water.

If each trip to the island and back is 9 minutes, how many people will live to see land?

Only 13 of them. In the first 18 minutes 8 will be be rowed to safety and the last 5 will be on their way to shore when the boat sinks. One person has to go back each time to pick up more people.

  • Discovery of life raft and fisherman#39;s body raises a number of ...

A beachcomber spending a Saturday morning collecting seashells on a remote North Carolina beach came across a body, but it only deepened the mystery of the last hours of the fishing vessel Sea Tractor.

The body was identified as Kenneth Rose Sr., one of three crewmen missing since the Sea Tractor went down Nov. 11 during a flounder fishing trip off Cape May. The sinking took the lives of Rose Sr., 75, his son Kenneth Rose Jr., 49, both of Broad Creek, N.C., and Larry Forrest, 55, of Cape May County.

The Sea Tractor was due back to Lund’s Fisheries in Lower Township, Cape May County, on the evening of Nov. 11 as a brutal coastal storm hit the area. The crew never made port.
