Seals, Special Forces, Para rescuers, Rangers.....
Which of these or others you may no have the most training in survival
Thanks
I think all get a good amount of Survival training. All of those that you have listed go to some sort of SERE school, and a lot of them all go to the same school.
but personally, I think Para rescuers get the most survival training. I am not 100% sure,if they really do, but I am just saying thing because they are the ones who have to go out sometimes on long rescue missions, an who knows how long and what will happen on those operations.
but Seals, Special Forces probably get a hefty amount of survival training, because you never know when your gonna need it.

Can I receive training as a civilian in training in survival, armed combat, armed self defense, marksmenship, etc?
There used to be ads for this kind of training in Soldier of Fortune magazine. You may check there.
...on suspicion of torture?
Hey Volleyball...I ani't your sunshine.
ain't, that is.
It is part of the S.E.R.E - Survival Evasion Resistance Escape training.
There was nothing wrong with waterboarding those murderers. You people want to be safe but never want to get your hands dirty. I've been waterboarded and yes it is part of military training for certain units. I seen it done in the field to gather information years ago. With a wet tee shirt and a canteen of water . Its nothing new folks. You do what you have to in order to save lives. Those CIA spooks saved thousands of lives. You people who dislike waterboarding are the same type who think we can have a war and nobody gets hurt. Its war , blood , death, killing, torture. get the hell over it. Sure let the police do it for hardcore criminal scum.

I have been interested in incorporating some military training into my standard workout routine. I am interested in both American training as well as Israeli, and any others that would be interesting.
I am also interested in both the survival techniques (possibly hand-to-hand as well as weapons handling), in addition to the general calisthenic routines.
When I say "Weapons Training" I mean more along the lines of managing a weapon in hand to hand. If I need to disarm someone, or if someone tries to disarm me.
I am already working on athleticism, I just wish to use military information as an all around workout to be prepared in different events... to keep me on my toes.
You've already explored the Krav Maga option, probably.
Try http://www.russianmartialart.com/ if you're talking more about disarms. If you'd like to do real weapons handling, try http://www.valhallashootingclub.com/ for size.
By the way, a lot of materials on combatives and weapons use in the military is open source and available to the public.
As far as resources for that go, Ranger Joes is crap. I love them, order a lot from them, but they're a tactical gear shop. If you want books and DVDs, goto http://paladinpress.com
Is it possible to get real, outdoor survival training, outside of joining the military? Almost like pseudo-military training, except without the commitment or having to actually join a faction? No sarcasm intended. What kind of training do modern day mercenaries undergo (not that I want to make a living out of taking people out, just out of curiosity)?
Eh. Boy Scouts aren't all they're cracked up to be.
I hear the boy scouts are real bad asses.
