Military Survival

I am currently waiting for my exit out of the RAF! But i want to do a similar job but in civvi street. I would like to work at an airport doing survival equipment. I cant find any vacancies any where, ive tried job center plus and avaitionjobs.com but to no avail.

have you tried looking for work offshore?
there's always plenty of jobs in the aberdeen press and journal. you might find something up your street

I'm really into nature and really into survival. A military career is a strong possibility for my future, so combining the two would be excellent. Any tips on any certain branch and any certain occupations under said branch that would satisfy what I'm looking for?

The USAF has a group of SERE (Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape) specialist. These guys practice and teach survival techniques in all environments around the world. They then are assigned to various wings thoughout the Air Force to teach pilots these techniques.

Just wondering cause i downloaded some and i was wondering if it was illegal i don't want to learn how to be a trained killer just want to learn cool survival skills and it shows how to start fires and snare animals thats all i really want out of them...

There are very few military Field Manuals that are restricted. You can't get to those and you would be bored to death by them! Feel free to use those manuals you download without fear of a silenced black helicopter and men in black coming to get you!

I am thinking of serving my country, my friends are telling me to enlist to the marines if I wanna live long. Which is the best?

Whoever it is that is telling you that joining the marines will better your chances of surviving is way off. The marines may be better at kickin @$$ in hand to hand combat but I'd rather be on the side that blows stuff up from a distance. In my opinion, if you want to enlist but have a life as close to normal as possible, go Air Force. In the end it all comes down to what you want to gain from the experience. When I enlisted, I knew that I might want to do this for 20 years so the best decision for my future family (and for my overall quality of life) was the Air Force.
