With modern medicine we can fix many more problems than before. Do you think that the statement "modern medicine has nullified "survival of the fittest" or "natural selection" ?


Yes it has.

With modern medicine and intervention, within the human species today, even the not-so-fit survive. Indeed. it could be said that the not-so-fit today produce more offspring than the fit.

Of course you can argue the definition of the word "fit" for ever, but realistically, we most definitely have altered the natural path of evolution. With our modern technology we have sent extinction rates sky rocketing.

Natural selection no longer applies. Any "selection" today is most unnatural.

What is the most important psychological trait to ensure man's survival in the modern day world?

i've been puzzling over this one for a while. and please, don't use the vauge, indecipherable "survival instincts". be specific and explain the justification for your answer. logic is a bonus.


Fear. It drives people to fight, protect, endure, and so much more. It's a motivator for most of us in some form or another. Although it may sound somewhat primitive it definately allows man to engage the world when it becomes a necessity.

Will there be some sort of Survival mode in COD Modern Warfare 2?

You know, where enemies come at you in wave after wave, like Zombies in World at War, or Horde in Gears 2?


Well IW said that they wouldn't copy anything from Treyarch at all, so, no Zombies... There may still be a survival mode, but at this point it is doubtful
