Can anyone recommend some good survival games for ps2?

And by that I DO NOT mean Horror/survival games, I mean games like 'Sims 2 Castaway' or 'Lost in Blue- Shipwrecked'.

Please don't reccomend Silent Hill and Resident Evil 3 >.>

If you survived a shipwreck on a deserted island?

If you survived a shipwreck on a deserted island, what would be the most important issues that would determine your survival? Describe how you would face each of these issues.

Finding edible food. Be it from plant trees or the water. Make a place to rest and sleep. I would try to look at it as an opened space apartment. And would take each day as it came. Would try to make the best use of the things I have or can find. I would probably talk to myself a lot. Since there is no one to talk to. Hopefully I wasn't hurt in the wreck.

Survival question. If you knew you'd be shipwrecked on an island....?

This is for a story.

Let's assume the island has fresh water.

What items would be the best to have with you, to help you survive? I don't mean like a 50-pound survival kit being one item, I mean actual individual items, like a knife, box of matches, etc.

That's about all you would need. Perhaps a fish hook and some line, a hatchet, and a magnifying glass. The last one is for when you run out of matches or if they got wet. That's what always puzzled me about the show, Survivor, no one was smart enough to use what they had in front of them most times.

Looking for a PC prehistoric survival game that may not exist?

I've searched for awhile, and this just may simply not exist yet, but in hope I appeal to the mass of gamers out there who might have come across what I'm looking for. Basically, I'm looking for an RPG and/or adventure style (like Fallout 3, Oblivion) game with some strategic elements (Sims, Age of Empires) that is, at its core, a survival game for prehistoric characters. Something beyond (far beyond) Populous and the Civilization series, I want a game that lets me play a character (or, even better, a family) who is surviving in prehistoric times. Discovering, exploring, hunting. What would be ideal is if they would be able to raise a family, gather into tribes or settlements, that type of thing.

Alternatively, something like but with a shipwreck on a tropical island (similar to Sims 2 Castaway) or a post-apocalyptic world (I have Fallout 3 and love it).

I highly doubt this game exists, but I would just love to create a character who has to survive by salvaging, finding, learning. And preferably non-linear. I don't mind quests and storylines, but I really don't like mission-based games and puzzle solving to advance.

I don't mind downloading, and I WILL pay for a game that's decent. Is there anything at all like this???? (I'm a fan of Fallout 3, Everquest II, Tropico, The Sims 2 and 3, Age of Empires, Civilization IV if this helps to know.)

Spore. It's made by Maxis, the creators of The Sims, And I belive it has what you're looking for. You start off as a single cell, work your way up to an organism in the waters of the Pre-Historic Era, work your way on land and eventulally you will beable to make a futuristic race. Awsome game.

  • Top 15 Shipwreck Survival Tips - Listverse

This is a list of the most important things to remember if you are shipwrecked. The list comes from Yan Martel’s prize-winning novel Life of Pi.

    1. Always read instructions carefully

    2. Do not drink urine. Or sea water. Or bird blood

    3. Do not eat jellyfish. Or fish that have spikes. Or fish that have parrot like beaks. Of that puff up like balloons.

    4. Pressing the eyes of fish will paralyse them

    5. The body can be heroic in battle; if a castaway is injured, beware of well-meaning but ill-founded medical treatment. Ignorance is the worst doctor, while rest and sleep are the best nurses.

    6. Put your feet up at least 5 minutes every hour
