Congrats on surviving...man, you have been thru alot!
Try looking at a site called choosehope.com........they have all kinds of things on there. The ACS has some things too....purple is the designated color of a survivor with them and luckily is my favorite color, so I wear it all the time anyway!
Best wishes to you!!!

I'm looking for some inexpensive bridesmaid gift ideas.
On option I have are to give them each a "women's survival kit" which includes items that can be used at the wedding as well as kept in their car in case of emergencies (mirror, hair spray, bobbi pins, comb, bandages, sewing kit...)
Another option is a nice bracelet... not necessarily something to use on the wedding day but something more casual such as a charm bracelet. My bridesmaids will be wearing the same color dressed but different styles so I can't really get them all matching jewelry to wear the day of.
I like the bracelet idea. It becomes more of a keepsake that way.
I've had great luck, and found great prices, buying jewelry from ice.com
I've gotten alot of great pieces through them and am very pleased with their quality and prices. Its great to get on the mailing list so you find out about the good sales.
Also, overstock.com is a good place and now they'll sell "bulk " items - - 3 or more of the same item for a bundled price. Depending upon how many you need, this could be a good idea too.

Hello, we just found out today our 1 yr old. (terrier mix 10lbs) has a bowl obstruction. After the vet xrayed her it appears she has a couple of small round objects aprox inch apart (most likely connected somehow) in what looks like the small bowl. We havent figured out what it is, but might be part of a string bracelet of somesort. Anyway her symptoms were vomiting after eating aprox. 20 mins. This has been going on for about 48 hrs. Otherwise she is acting very normal. The vet told us to take her home tonight and bring her back in the morning. She said if the obstruction moves (upon getting another xray) that she might be able to pass the object(s). If not ofcourse we are looking at probably atleast $2000.00 for surgery. My questions are, does anyone know if waiting longer will hurt the dogs chances of survival? What are the surgical chances of success? Is there anything we can do to promote the obstruction to move (walking her ect.)? Me and my wife dont have children so we are very attached to our 2 little mutts, but ofcourse we hate to do something that seems so drastic and costly. Would love to hear from anyone with similar experience. By the way both are lap dogs we brought home from rescues and our first (she 3 now) was going blind after 6 months, so about $4000 later (eye surgery) she's seeing great. Never thought having couple little dogs could be so expensive!
If the item is small it will pass. Feed her some high fiber foods, Can Pumpkin is great for that if she will eat it. Obstructions won't hurt her immediately but several days would not be good.
As soon as you get her cleared up, check into dog insurance. It is great. I have it on my two guys and I am thankful for it every time I use it. Our last visit was $398. and completely covered and that one visit is more than the entire years premium. So far I figure I've save over $8000.00 on the two dogs because of the insurance.
I will bless 10 points to the one with the correct answer to this question.
" Good morning. You were lucky to find me here at the well. As my story shows, survival can mean taking risks. But there's a difference between bravery and foolishness, and visiting a foreign island without water is foolhardy. Not to worry. Once you do, you can have all the water you need for the rest of your stay. *BTW* How do you like my new gold earrings and bracelets?"

Survival bracelet made from 15-20#39; of paracord - Boing Boing

Each of these "Survival Bracelets" has 15 to 20 feet of 550-pound test paracord inside. If you ever need to use the cord for something, just unravel the binding. When you're done, you can send it back to manufacturer Survival Straps and they'll rewind it for you free of charge.
Most people probably wouldn't ever end up using it, but I think they're pretty attractive in a ultra masculine way. They're available in a variety of colors with either steel or plastic clasps for around $20-$25.
