Lighting a candle in a car?

In the case of being stuck in a car, due to a blizzard or something, is it safe to light candles? I know they have those candles that last for like 120 hours and etc, and are for like survival packs and etc, but is that safe to light in a car? Candles ranging from tea lights, to survival candles? Thanks.

You would think people would use common sense in this case.

That should convince you otherwise.

Survival Candle

In this vid I show how I make survival candles. Survival candles are a little heavy for the bush but they sure are handy around the house or kept ...

How can you solve this for survival?

Imagine you are in Africa . You have been tied hanging on a tree

with a Rope anchored on the ground, a candle is slowly burning the rope, and
the lion is waiting for you to drop and be his lunch.

Your survival hinges on the rope staying intact, there is no one around to
help you.

The only possible way is to somehow convince the lion to BLOW the candle
out. How do you do that?..................

Sing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song to the lion and hope that he will blow out the candle!!!.

Having said that here are a few other ideas out of the box…

Get the rope between my legs and pee… the pee will run down along the rope
this not only wets the rope but also extinguishes the candle. Ok! Ok! Your riddle says that the only way is to convince the lion to blow the candle. I don’t think I would have enough time to convince the lion that it is his Birthday (if I could do that I would rather ask him to go away)… so what the hell I will pee on the lions nose, that ought to make the lion sneeze and blow the candle out. If I miss I would shake my head vigorously and hope that the dandruff would fall like dust on the lions nose and make him sneeze…if that also fails… could I have the ten points as my last request???

Can you help us with our winter auto survival kit?

My daughter's class is putting a shoebox of stuff together, then will raffle it off. Maybe it will inspire others to do the same, given the recent stranded folks. Hoping the Dad is found soon. Anyway, can you think of any other items that may be included or did we cover it? Thanks!

Instead of a flashlight with batteries, one of those shake-up flashlights would be better since batteries tend to run out faster when it's cold.

Survival/Adventure Project?

I am doing a project on "The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle" by Avi. I need to make a survival kit. The items have to be available to someone in the 1800s. So far, I have:
Food
Water
Knife
Bandages
Antibiotic
Candle
Hankerchief
Flint and Slate

I need two more items. PLEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!
Hankerchief for applying antibiotic which there was some in the 1800

It depends on where you are trying to survive. Each environment brings different challenges and needs.

I'd get rid of the handkerchief, don't know why'd you'd need that.

I'd add rope. That's good for anything.
I'd also add cookware. Pots and pans.

My list of ten things?
1. House
2. Taco Bell
3. Swedish bikini volleyball team
4. Playstation II
5. ESPN
6. Hot tub/sauna
7. Personal chef
8. Ocean front beach
9. Internet
10. Sporting goods

  • Pivot Galore | zero hedge

The recently announced IMF sale of 191.3 tonnes of their gold reserves, though it caused an immediate sharp knee-jerk reaction in gold futures markets, will have a negligible effect on the long-term price of gold. There will come a time when the prices for real physical gold and real physical silver completely sever the already tenuous umbilical cord they maintain to the suppressed prices of gold and silver established by the agent bullion banks of the US Federal Reserve and the Bank of England in futures markets. I will start with commodities where the pivot is the clearest on the day. Copper has retraced 61.8% of the recent sell off, and posted a quite nasty indecision candle on the day. If...
