finding a coffee cup that basically garbage (you just find it somewhere) from a coffee shop that serves refills, you take it into the shop and get a free cup of coffee.

What do you wish you had when you started uni?

Hi, my friend's starting uni in Sept and it's her bday in August so thought I'd make her a 'student survival kit' for when she goes. So far I'm gonna put in it - student cookbook, earplugs (incase her halls are as noisy at 4am as mine were), attack alarm on a keyring, a little sachet of washing powder, USB memory stick/flash drive thing, shot glasses, alka seltzers and maybe a student diary. Any other ideas? What did you wish you'd had when you first arrived at uni?

a poster to decorate room with (plus blu tac)

you sound like a lovely friend - wish I had one like you when I went to uni
