Aside from the recognized Wilderness EMT, S&R, etc., is there an official certification for generic wilderness instructor? For example, teaching people how to build primitive structures, knifecraft, firecraft, food and water procurement, primitive navigation, etc. like Les Stroud? I'm sure Mors Kochanski doesn't have a certification diploma. Or is it a "use at your own risk" kind of instruction? Legal issues? Thanks!
Actually there are some certification courses, The SIERRA club and the Boy Scouts of america require them to be leaders of specific types of outings. The training goes beyond basic first aid of an EMT goes beyond what you may pick up reading and gives you hands on experience.

i have a lot of bush survival knowledge taught to me by my dad
who was in special forces and the army.
i really want to become a bush survival expert instructor but dont know where to start.
I spent 14 years in a remote part of Alaska.
I recently read a book called.."the bush survival bible".
It is a very good book, that I can say that first hand you need to know to survive in the bush.
I would imagine you can buy it at larger book stores or get it from Amazon.com
I don't have my book and I have to turn in my quiz today. The instructor said to "fill in the knowns" but I don't know the equation...
