Survival Spanish

Just out of curiosity... Based on the details unique to the Spanish flu, with knowledge of it, what could one have done to beat the sickness?

apparently social distancing worked very well. But people this flu isnt even bad. The American news dramatizes over it WAYYY more than the Canadian news. It talks about it for 3 minutes on Global and 2day they even said that the swine flu symptoms were milder then the symptoms of the regular seasonal flu... and I dont see anyone freaking out about that flu...

3 or 4 weeks isn't very long and one of the main problems can be fellow students. You have to insist on speaking Spanish with them all the time, which isn't too easy with only survival Spanish to fall back on.

I'm 14 and I'm going on a Spanish exchange to Barcelona on Wednesday. My Spanish is OK but i want to know some basic phrases like:

I'm full (eating)
What time should I get up,
What time are we eating,

stuff like that i cant think of more examples can you help me translate or recommend something to help me survive please because my exchange has good englsih but her family doesnt speak any and i want to actually learn some.

from what i have learned,
the spain has a different dialect then in Mexico
but it is the same so dont freak out! :)

for example

Spain: Ustedeis
Mexico: Ustedes

but they will understand you :)

It should include
~pronunciation guide or pronunciation for every word
~basic grammar
~word by word translation
~number, months,days etc...
~starting a conversation
~everyday items
~sentences that would be useful in
-a phone conversation
-at restaurants

If there is no book that has all those things then a book with most of them (I would like to know which things it has) or two fairly cheap books.

And I'm also looking for good learn spanish pod casts (so far I'm using coffee break spanish and spanish survival guide).
