Does anyone realize the background and dangers of the war of survival from a religious sect?

Because it is the current war of survival...what happens next will determine the existence of the Western philosophy, in my opinion.

Any good survival books on nuclear war?

does anyone know any good nuclear war survival books not old ones from the 80's or anything books that came out from at least 2003

No such thing exists. An all out nuke war is not survivable. Build an underground shelter, and you still need air vents leading to the surface. Super hot air from a nuke blast will rush down your air vents and cook you; turning your shelter into a convection oven. If you have your own air recyc via your own nuke reactor, and so don't need vents to the surface, you still have to stay underground until the radiation dies down to safe levels...which will take hundreds of thousands of years at least. You can't store enough food/water to last that long. Come up too soon, and you die of radiation poisoning. If you have a multi-trillion dollar shelter with nuke power, closed recyc air system, and hydroponic gardens, etc, you still live like a rat...if everything works. However, nothing electrical will work...so your engines, radios, nuke plant, etc, will not work...having been destroyed by the EMP the nuke blast generated. Surviving a nuke war is a stupid fantasy concocted by lieing politicians, and hollywood scriptwriters, and bad sci-fi authors. No one will survive a nuke war...not even in NORAD type shelters Since a nuke war can not be survived, there can be no good books about surviving a nuke war.

Max Brooks zombie survival guide or World War Z?

Hey I wanna get one of these books but dont know which, I hear the Survival Guide is very good but the same with World War Z. Can anyone help?

I've read part of each, and would go with WW Z. The other is just a long schtick.

Generals Die in Bed shows that in war, individual survival is everything. What are your thoughts on this?

All comments are appreciated!

I think it would be a bit inappropriate to compare generals with soldiers facing the live ammo.
It has something to do with relative time. Sure the one who goes on to be a General must have been the lucky one to have escaped alive in a war in his younger times. But so were all the commanders, major generals, brigadiers etc.

Since armed combat has been around from the time immemorial, it has evolved a lot.
Now a days, mostly (but not always) one gets to be general through his ability to lead, ability to plan and implement, sound judgment and cool handedness, among lots of other things.

Cool if you have to prove it for an year or two, but almost impossible not to make mistakes when your career spans over decades (generals are fairly past fighting age).

So, mostly the best of the soldiers rise above the others to reach the rank of the general.

It goes on to prove the same old unjustifiably wrong criteria “brain over brawn”.

Do I need to read The Zombie Survival Guide before I read World War Z?

I just bought World War Z, and just read on the internet that it's a follow up for another book, The Zombie Survival Guide. Do I have to read that before I read WWZ?

No the ZSG is rlyu just a fictitious guide you dont have to read it to read WWZ but its still really entertaining and In wwz they use a book called the zombie survival guide but its only mentioned twice in the entire book and is just an Alternate Universe Reference. Read WWZ its really amazing i read it 6 times lol

hope this helps xD
