A strong work ethic is by far the most important skill a young worker lacks. Most skill depend on the exact line of work you go into. But having a high IQ really helps. Although not a skill work experience makes you look a lot better to employers.

I'm 37, and I've been a slow learner since grade school. I eventually get very good at things, but only if I'm given a chance to learn slowly. I get fired or pushed out of about half of jobs because of this trait. Yesterday, I got myself and workmates in trouble because I didn't finish a job because (it turns out) I didn't understand the directions. In hind sight, if I had asked for clarification, that would have been seen as a flag of incompetence. Should I just gently demand clarification?

Maybe corporate America isn't for you?

There isn't much you can do about being a slow learner besides taking jobs you have experience in so you don't have to learn much. At age 37 you MUST have some experience in a field. So get jobs you have lots of experience in and take work home with you so you have extra time to grasp things.

Don't work in places with a "fast paced" office culture. There are many companies that are slow paced and laid back (usually the smaller ones). So avoid the big corporations.

A junior manager, a senior manager and their boss are on their way to a meeting.
On their way through a park, they come across a wonder lamp.
They rub the lamp and a ghost appears.
The ghost says :
" Normally, one is granted three wishes, but as you are three, I will allow one wish each. "
So the eager senior manager shouted : " I want the first wish.
I want to be in the Bahamas, on a fast boat and have no worries."
Pfufffff …. and he was gone.
Now the junior manager could not keep quiet and shouted :
" I want to be in Florida with beautiful girls, plenty of food and cocktails. "
Pfufffff …. And he was also gone.
The boss calmly said : " I want these two idiots back in the office after lunch at 12.30 pm. "

Standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand,
" Listen," said the CEO, " this is a very sensitive and important document,
and my secretary has left. Can you make this thing work?"
" Certainly," said the young executive.
He turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed the start button.
" Excellent, excellent! " said the CEO as his paper disappeared inside the shredder machine.
" I just need one copy. "

An American and a Japanese were sitting on the plane on the way to LA When
the American turned to the Japanese and asked

The Japanese, confused, replied : " Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. "
The American repeated : " What kind of -ese are you ? "
Again, the Japanese was confused over the question.
The American, now irritated, then yelled : " What kind of -ese are you
... Are you a Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese !, etc......??? "
The Japanese then replied : " Oh, I am a Japanese. "
A while later the Japanese turned to the American and asked what kind of 'key' was he.
The American, frustrated, yelled : " What do you mean what kind of -kee' am I ?! "
The Japanese said, " Are you a Yankee, donkee, or monkee ? "
LESSON No 3 : NEVER INSULT ANYONE

There were these 4 guys --- a Russian, a German, an American and a French,
who together found this small genie bottle.
When they rubbed the bottle, a genie appeared.
Thankful that the 4 guys had released him out of the bottle, he said :
" Next to you all are 4 swimming pools, I will give each of you a wish.
When you run towards the pool and jump, you shout what you want the pool of water to become,
then your wish will come true. "
The French wanted to start.
He ran towards the pool, jumped and shouted : " Wine ! "
The pool immediately changed into a pool of wine.
The Frenchman was very happy, swimming and drinking from the pool.
Next is the Russian's turn.
He did the same and shouted : " Vodka ! " and immersed himself into a pool of vodka.
The German was next and he jumped and shouted : " Beer ! "
He was likewise very contented with his beer-filled pool.
The last is the American.
He was running towards the pool when suddenly he steps on a ba
on a banana peel.
He slipped towards the pool and shouted, " Shit !!!!!!!........."
LESSON # 4 : ALWAYS THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING,
BECAUSE SOMETIMES ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN !

The organs of the body were having a meeting, trying to decide who was in charge.
Each organ took a turn to speak up.
Brain......... I should be in charge because I run all body functions.
Blood........ I should be in charge because I circulate oxygen for the brain.
Stomach... I should be in charge because I process food for the brain.
Legs......... I should be in charge because I take the brain where it wants to go.
Eyes......... I should be in charge because I let the brain see where it's going.
Asshole.....I should be in charge because I get rid of your waste.
All the other parts laughed so hard and this made the asshole very mad.
To prove his point, the asshole immediately slammed tightly closed and
s tayed that way for 6 days, refusing to rid the body of any was
waste whatsoever.
Day 1 - Brain got a terrible headache and cried out for relief
Day 2 - Stomach got bloated and began to ache terribly
Day 3 - Legs got cramps and became unstable
Day 4 - Eyes became watery and vision became blurred
Day 5 - Blood became toxic and poisoned the body
Day 6 -The other organs agreed to let the asshole be in charge.
MORAL OF THE STORY: NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE, OR HOW IMPORTANT YOU THINK YOU ARE,
YOU WILL FIND THAT IT IS ALWAYS AN ASSHOLE THAT IS TRULY IN CHARGE

In my life i have to tone down my happiness around others so they dont get jealous or offended.
yet, once i was one of the ones that resented others happiness;

Christianity comes from the Greek word for Messiah 'Cristos'
it means a follower of the Messiah (both Jews and gentiles are included that believe)

Messiah if you believe it came as Jewish and it did come from Judaism and all the first believers and writers of the New Testament/covenant as promised were Jewish.

Moses showed the way for this too Leviticus 17:11 there is no forgiveness of sins/atonement without a blood sacrifice.

So some Jewish people do believe our Jewish Scriptures which holds the true Jewish religion.

while there are orthodox that have claimed Rabbi Schneerson is the Messiah, but he was born in Europe, the Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem
"Out of you Bethelehem, though you are small amongst Israel, shall come forth one from Eternity."

yet Bethlehem, it is a city in Israel given to the PLO so if Yeshua/Jesus and Rabbi Schneerson arent the Messiah, our Messiah will be a PLO Arab.

Most non Messianic Jews today reject Daniel the Jewish prophet writing about hell and heaven
"They shall arise from the earth to everlasting life or everlasting abhorance." Daniel 12:2

I was taught by my Jewish mother Jesus is a liar and to have nothing to do with him. Yet I learned the truth and i prayed as he asks us to do too and recieved him as my Messiah and best friend when he states from heaven
'I love you and ask you to repent from your sins and let me in, to be your friend"

I prayed "Help me Messiah, come into my heart, forgive my sins and be my friend, amen."

Now life is a happy day for me and I am glad as a Jew I came to believe the Messiah for all the world, David

The WHO estimates (2002) that 392,000 people die in falls every year. In 1972, Vesna Vulović survived a fall from 33,000 feet without a parachute. Falls are the second leading cause of work-related death in the U.S. In 2000, 717 workers died of injuries caused by falls from ladders, scaffolds, buildings, or other elevations.

Surviving a fall from a high point, such as 100', requires not injuring one's head or pelvis.

I feel disrespected in the office and my boss has gotten on my last nerve. I've lost respect for him and I want to just quit. I know I'm being a spoilt brat but my boss acts like he owns a fortune 500 company when he owns a startup and he's like a baby on a corporate chair.

Do you believe people who quit their jobs are losers who give up easy and it's survival of the fittest in the workplace?

no, working isnt a competition. if ur unhappy u shud find something u like. lifes too short to waste it doing a job u dont like
